Class Description
In these four 45-minute Zoom classes, learn some techniques to work through your own emotions in a productive way. These can be useful for emotions that come up in you when you’re working with a client, in everyday situations, and for chronic emotional tendencies.
Each week will build on the skills learned in the previous class.
From Andrea: “I started doing this work 6 years ago when I was prompted to find new ways to work with anxiety and irritation. I kept hearing the advice -- "feel it to heal it", but didn’t know how to get started. On my journey, I have found some wonderful techniques and tweaked a couple myself. They have completely changed how I walk through the world and my anxiety has plummeted. I’m so excited to share them with you!
In class, I will ask you to call to mind situations that you have found moderately upsetting. Ideally, we are looking for problems that have arisen that still have some resonance for you, but are not the deepest darkest problems you may be working through. These will not be shared with the group; you will just be calling them up so you can work with how your body feels while you are thinking about them, and apply some new creative strategies to help you resolve them.”
